A 12-day in-depth tour of the spectacular western coast of Norway, up to Nordland and Eastern Finnmark. Get close to fjords that have been scoured and gouged by glaciers, and deep sea-drowned valleys that are an explorer’s paradise. The trip takes in the capital Oslo, the beautiful coastal ports of Bergen and Alesund, and on to the land of the midnight sun at Bodo, Tromso, and Honningsvag, and to the wintry land of Eastern Finnmark.
Witness epic landscapes, fascinating fjords, and plunging cliffs, days that never end, and a show-stopping natural light display - no wonder Norway was voted the world’s most beautiful destination (2009National Geographic). The tour also includes the cosmopolitan capital city of Oslo with its easy access to the great outdoors, and two of Norway’s most picturesque coastal ports.
If you go in the summer you will see the midnight sun, if you go in the winter you will see the northern lights, and the fjords can be enjoyed at any time of the year. The trip gives you an insight into the spectacular scenery and landscape of Norway’s fjord country as well as time to get to know Oslo and the two picturesque ports of Bergen and Alesund, and then on up to the North Cape itself.
